TU Graz is the longest-established university of technology in Austria and offers its students highly qualified education within an environment that fosters collaborative learning and cooperation.
TU Graz offers a wide range of engineering, scientific and design degree programmes. Building on bachelor’s programmes that focus on fundamental principles, the university places an emphasis on research-led, mostly English-language master’s and PhD programmes.
The University provides its students high-quality education, as well as an environment that fosters cooperative learning and teamwork, promotes critical and creative thinking and a sense of responsibility, and sparks a passion for science and business. Learn more about TU Graz.
TU Graz is committed to a “Guided Start”: In course of the Student Lifecycle, we want to support every stage in a student’s lifespan at our university. As good as possible, as much as needed. This process already starts in fostering interest in the various study programmes through outreach activities such as STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) events for kids and continues with an onboarding process that is set up with numerous measures to provide first year students with the best possible transition into the university environment. Those measures shall contribute to a better integration in a new setting and eventually target to increase student’s success as well as decrease the probability of a drop-out.
From my personal experience, it is very recommendable to socialize and form study groups in order to motivate and exchange knowledge with each other.
With the first semester-tutorials the students have immediately connection to fellow students for social activities and supporting each other in the challenges in study.
Personal contact, a friendly way of interaction, some flexibility and an open ear for problems and the willing to solve them, and most important a breeze of humor definitely help most.
